Learn More About Dining At Pacific Gardens:

Memory Support Dining

Great sensitivity and attention is given to dining for Memory support residents. Our goal is to maintain resident pride and dignity. Residents have their own dining area. The kitchen precuts or purees resident food out of sight. Staff provides whatever dining assistance is needed. We have extensive discussions with family about resident food likes and dislikes. Pacific Gardens accommodates every single resident and their food choices. Residents are served the main menu entree. They may also choose among many alternatives on the menu.

Holidays

Pacific Gardens is renown among residents, families and other guests for its special holiday meals. These feature different kinds of meats, salads, side dishes, assorted desserts and beverages. The buffets are served Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Mother’s and Father’s Day. Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day are more informal. Summer time food is cooked outside on our barbeque. Seating is both outdoors and indoors. There are a variety of summer salads, side dishes and desserts.

Resident input

A resident food committee meets monthly with our Director of Dining Services. They provide input on the food they would like on the menu. All residents are welcome to attend. Meetings are listed on the activity calendar.

Special Needs

Residents with special dietary needs such as low-salt and sugar free diets are accommodated by the kitchen. Staff helps residents who need food cut or pureed. A resident who is ill may have meals delivered to their apartment.

We Welcome Guests

Pacific Gardens happily welcomes resident family and friends. With a little notice, guests may come to any meal. Special holiday meals require reservations so we can be sure to have enough food and seating. There are charges for these occasions.
